Art of Being Thankful

With embracing my current way of thinking, this Thanksgiving seems so much more meaningful than others. Even though we are not physically close to family and friends, celebrating this day means a lot to me.

I have been getting into my feelings around not having a support system here in California and being so far away from family. It’s daily that my mood changes up and down from feeling so isolated and alone.

This will be the first Thanksgiving that I can remember that we are not surrounded by our family. With this reality, it has opened my eyes to the things that I do have to be thankful for. Instead of moping in what I don’t have, I have decided to show my thanks for the things that I am blessed to have.

My girls are healthy and brightly happy. They don’t understand not having their grandparents, aunts, and uncles around. They see their parents. They see the love that we have to share. I am thankful for this.

I am physically, mentally, and spiritually stronger now than I was last year. I feel healthy. I look healthy. I am closer to understanding the needs of myself mentally and spiritually. I am thankful for this.

I am also so thankful for my past, current, and future accomplishments. I am destined for greatness. There’s no stopping this train! I am going on for bigger, greater victories.

Share with me some things you are thankful for.

  1. I’m thankful for my family, life , health and strength. The small things mean the world to me and that can’t even be put into words. 😘
